Milne Bay, Papua New Guinea; diver with Redfin Anthias (Pseudanthias dispar), to 9.5 cm (3 ¾ in.), form aggregations 1-3 meters above substrate on upper edges of steep slopes to 15 meters, females far outnumbering males, found from Christmas Island to Line Island in eastern Central Pacific, S.W.
