Milne Bay, Papua New Guinea; Purple Anthias (Pseudanthias tuka), to 12 cm (4 ¾ in.), form plankton feeding aggregations 1-3 meters above outer reef slopes, but also in coastal reefs in 2-40 meters, females are purple to lavender with yellow stripe along back to tip of upper tail lobe and yellow border on lower tail lobe, aggregations contain far more females than males, found in Indonesia to Solomon Islands, S.W.
